SHARP FOCUS

1.8 deg. stepper motor
With this picture you can recognize what you should be looking for. Important note: Motor must have 5 or 6 wires, 4 wire motors are not useful for our purpose.
This is how you should make a piece to hold your motor to any SCT telescope. To attach this piece to your telescope unscrew 2 of the 3 screws in the base of the focus-knob (leave one as is), place the piece and hold it with the 2 screws you have taken before.
Note that motor should be attached to that piece before attaching it to the telescope, you will only use 2 of the 4 screws in the motor to hold it to that piece (don't unscrew the 4 screws of the motor at the same time, this could open it).
You should make this process several times in order to adjust the right pressure of the motor against the focus-knob.

To attach your motor to any other kind of telescope use your imagination, but it shouldn't be any difficult if you base your design in this one. All telescopes have some screws near focus that will let you hold tight a piece where your motor is attached.
