SHARP FOCUS

The software
SharpFocus is intended to be run at the same time you are that running your camera control software. SharpFocus will not affect, or disturb, your camera's temperature regulator. It will not change your settings about imaging chip, binning mode, etc... of your camera control software.
While you mey not have prepared all the hardware needed to make the system work as a real autofocus device, you can still run SharpFocus anyway. It will definetly help you to find a better focus, maybe the best if you use it systematically. If SharpFocus hardware is not connected to your PC you will not have the ability to calibrate filters or temperature.
A help file is being constructed for SharpFocus, meanwhile you will have to navigate alone through its intuitive options.
*Known disturbance: When SharpFocus is loaded or unloaded in your machine ST-7/ST-8 users will find that their camera control software loses its link with the camera. This is due to the fact that driver libraries are either reloaded or unloaded in the process. THIS WILL CAUSE NO DAMAGE TO YOUR CAMERA. Temperature settings will be maintained. You only have to reestablish the link with the camera in your camera control software after loading or unloading SharpFocus.
*Important note: Only one software can expose or download images at a time from your camera. Don't attempt to take an exposure and autofocus at the same time. Nothing would happen to your camera, but one of both softwares may crash.
